Many of you would know him from Coronation Street when he played the role of Eddie Yeats. Geoff then went on to Keeping up Appearances as Onslow, Vernon Scripps in Heartbeat and then my favourite Twiggy in Royle Family with Ricky Tomlinson.
Geoffrey was receiving radiotherapy after collapsing at his home back in August 2010. He is a much loved actor and will be greatly missed.
